<p>His advice actually meant that our doubts, worries, anxieties, trepidations, fears, or as my LinkedIn colleague, Chad expresses it, our limiting, <em>&#8220;negative and pessimistic thoughts&#8221;</em> will make the products (those <em>&#8220;constructs&#8221;</em>, blueprints or imaginings) of our minds, our wills and our emotions weak, insipid, inefficient, impotent and ineffectual as we try to deal with the challenges of our world.</p>
<p>Because the Green Lantern was destined to fight a very powerful, extremely terrifying and truly monstrous enemy, he needed to have the ability to tap into and draw upon the full strength and potency of his mental, psychological and emotional faculties, if he ever hoped to defeat this creature. </p>
<p>On the other hand, Christians are advised to recognize and combat the stratagems of their adversary &#8211; his methods of warfare are predicated on the injection of those fear producing doubts, hopelessness, and unbelief that, if left unchecked, will surely bring about defeat, misery and deadliness that we are warned to avoid in our quest towards victorious living.</p>
<p>Look at it this way, leaders who are being held captive by, who are struggling in the bondage of, and whose life force (that awesome potential power of the mind, will and emotions) is being choked by a yoke of negative, indulgent, pessimistic, destructive, defeatist, dismal, dismaying, despondent or limiting thinking will not be inspired to reach out to love others, to love themselves or to love the conditions of their lives!</p>
<p>As many gurus, spiritual or philosophical leaders have counseled their disciples, we must take extra care to develop, maintain and sustain a rigorously healthy thought life &#8211; we must be vigilant in our awareness of the thoughts and feelings we experience on a moment by moment basis &#8211; by using meditation (saying the words that give us unquenchable power), by speaking positive affirmations, by reading the words of power out loud, through prayer to God (the Divine Supreme Being) and through acts of praise and worship for God.</p>
<p>When a negative thought or feeling begins to rise up, we must equip, prepare and focus ourselves to <em>&#8220;cast it down&#8221;</em>, when defeat or hopelessness appear in our souls or heads, we should capture it and throw it away, when we hear our self talk telling us that our highest, most noble ideals are insufficient and unworthy of our esteem, we must crush and grind the heads of those words into dust!</p>
<p>The Green Lantern was finally able to direct his mind, will and emotions to construct clear thoughts, confident feelings and determined commitment to overcome his adversaries and bring peace and safely to the Galaxy &#8211; that should prove that other leaders, like you, can achieve and enjoy those same fruits of victory as he.</p>

<p>Years ago, when famed scientist, Albert Einstein, said, <em>&#8220;To raise new questions, new possibilities, to regard old problems from a new angle, requires creative imagination and marks real advance in science&#8221;</em>, he was teaching today&#8217;s executive leadership teams how they should behave, believe and become Imagination Age strategists.</p>
<p>How will executives, managers and entrepreneurs use their Imagination Age leadership skills to achieve significant, sustainable, strategic advantages through intelligent, instructive and innovative applications of their leadership power, practices and policies?</p>

<p><em><strong>MEANING</strong></em> = <em>&#8220;We are endowed with a God-given potential to contribute value through the artistic, scientific, vocational and competent exercise of our leadership power!&#8221;</em></p>
<p><strong>4 Ranges of Executive Leadership Activities and Practice</strong><br />
Throughout history, leaders have been influenced and guided by the discipline, direction and diagnostics of 4 distinctive domains of executive leadership practices &#8211; these domains, or field of actions or range of knowledges or responsibilities are simply known as the art, science, vocation and competency of leadership practices.</p>
<p>Here are a partial list of the actions involved &#8211; to be brief, I have not included the catalog of knowledges or organizational responsibilities for leaders:</p>

<p>And these strategies represent the various approaches, directions, imperatives, indicators, intentions and responses leaders can adopt to effectively handle the environmental stimuli, conditions, forces or factors affecting, impeding and surrounding their organizational ecosystem. </p>
<p>The following 3 suggestions for executive leadership strategies being revealed in this article might help influence, impact and inspire you to lead more intelligently, instructively and imaginatively.</p>
<p><em><strong>Imaginative and Creative Leadership</strong></em><br />

<p>Well, the easy answers to your questions are <em>&#8220;yes, yes, and yes&#8221;</em>, but what does that tell you about the hidden forces that are driving our world? We might as well face the facts, the <em><strong>Thing</strong></em> that determines the name of any age is the <em><strong>Thing</strong></em> that makes human endeavors successful.</p>
<p>Think about it, in the Agrarian Age, it was our mastery of agricultural practices that made human civilizations prosperous, and in the Industrial Age, it was our ability to produce more and faster that spelled success for industrialists.</p>

<p>There is an act of the human will which usually gets confused with an act inspired by human emotion called &#8216;love&#8217;. When leading people, you would do well to employ the willful act of love and leave your emotionally-charged love at home.</p>
<p>In a moment we will examine some parameters of the willed love act. However, first, we need to provide some information about the human being. Humans have a mind, they have a will (a free or unimpeded power to make choices) and they have emotions.</p>
<p>So even though there are certain duties, tasks or activities we may not &#8216;feel&#8217; like performing, we still do those things because we have to, are supposed to do or are obligated to do. In those cases we have performed the act because we applied our willpower and decided to do those acts.</p>
<p>The concept of being a loving leader is based upon your capacity to apply your human will to the acts of thinking, acting and speaking like a loving leader. This loving that you do, is not based on your emotions but is based upon the application of your willpower.</p>
<p>Yes, there is the kind of love which is brought about by the human emotions of lust, greed, jealousy, covetousness or desire. This emotional form of loving comes from and is energized by our feelings.</p>
<p>When writing letters to the various churches established during his missionary ventures, the apostle Paul explains this concept of applying your willpower to acts of the kind of love which is prescribed and approved by God. As Paul writes in his First Epistle to the Corinthians, Chapter 13, Verses 4-8:</p>
<p>Verse 4: &#8220;<em>Charity</em> (the affection, good will, love and benevolence shown by effective leaders)<br />
=&gt; <em>suffers long</em> (meaning it perseveres patiently and bravely in enduring misfortunes and troubles and it is patient in bearing the offenses and injuries of others and it is mild and slow in avenging and it is longsuffering, slow to anger, slow to punish), [and this charity]<br />
=&gt; <em>is kind</em>;</p>
<p><em>charity</em> (this affection, good will, love and benevolence which is an act of human will and shown by effective leaders)<br />
=&gt; <em>envies not</em> (it does not burn with zeal nor is it heated nor does it boil with envy, hatred, anger);</p>
<p><em>charity</em> (this affection, good will, love and benevolence which is an act of human will and shown by effective leaders)<br />
=&gt; <em>vaunts not itself</em> (meaning it does not boast about one&#8217;s own self nor does it use self display, nor does it employ rhetorical embellishments in extolling one&#8217;s self excessively),<br />
=&gt; (this form of willful benevolent love) <em>is not puffed up</em> (it does not puff up, make proud, act puffed up, does not bear one&#8217;s self loftily, nor is it proud), </p>
<p>Verse 5 <em>Does not behave itself unseemly</em> (this form of love does not act unbecomingly),<br />
=&gt; <em>seeks not her own</em> (does not act or seek after, seek for, aim at, or strive after solely for himself, herself, itself or themselves),<br />
=&gt; <em>is not easily provoked</em> (this form of loving does not irritate, provoke, arouse to anger, scorn, despise, make angry, exasperate, burn with anger),<br />
=&gt; <em>thinks no evil</em> (does not think about things nor does it reckon up all the reasons, gather or infer, or consider, take into account, weigh, meditate on, or suppose, deem, judge or determine, purpose, or decide on things which are of a bad nature, or not such as it ought to be, nor of a mode of thinking, feeling, acting that is base, wrong, wicked, troublesome, injurious, pernicious, destructive, or baneful); </p>
<p>Verse 6 <em>Rejoices not in iniquity</em> (this form of loving does not rejoice, nor is glad in any deed violating law and justice or any act of unrighteousness),<br />
=&gt; <em>but rejoices in the truth</em> (this love is the kind of love which rejoices with, or takes part in another&#8217;s joy, or rejoices together, or congratulates truth as a personal excellence or as that candor of mind which is free from affection, pretence, simulation, falsehood, or deceit); </p>
<p>Verse 7 <em>Bears</em> (this is the kind of loving act which protects or keeps by covering, preserves or covers over with silence, or keeps secret, or hides and conceals the errors and faults of others by covering to keep off something which threatens, bears up against, holds out against, and so endures, bears, forbears) <em>all things</em>,<br />
=&gt; <em>believes</em> (this love is the type which thinks to be true, is persuaded of, credits, places confidence in the things believed, credits, has confidence in) <em>all things</em>,<br />
=&gt; <em>hopes</em> (this love hopefully trusts in) <em>all things</em>,<br />
=&gt; <em>endures</em> (this love remains, abides, does not recede or flee, it endures and bears bravely and calmly) <em>all things</em>. </p>
<p>Verse 8 <em>Charity</em> (the affection, good will, love and benevolence shown by effective leaders) <em>never fails</em> (this love does not fall out of, fall down from, fall off from its purpose, intentions, priorities or its goals): </p>
